Citizens got involved and the PATH Project has been terminated!
Below are the ways citizen involvement triumphed over corporate greed!



  • Stay informed! Check our website regularly and/or sign up for our email newsletter by using the contact form on this website.

  • Attend meetings and events! StopPATH WV holds occasional public meetings, rallies, demonstrations and fund raising events which will be announced on our website and via email newsletter. We welcome your participation. If you are an intervenor in the case, we would love to have your participation at our regular intervenor meetings. Contact us for more information.

  • Subscribe to our StopPATHWV Blog and join the discussion with your comments. Click here Comments are open, you don't need an account to post yours.

  • Write to the West Virginia Public Service Commission and let them know that you oppose the project. Send your letter to:

    Include case number 09-0770-E-CN in the subject line. Send copies of your letter to your elected representatives.

  • Identify organizations to which we can speak. If you belong to a club, organization, homeowners association or other group and would like to have a member of StopPATH attend a meeting and make a brief, informative presentation, please contact us.

  • Spread the word! Talk to your friends, neighbors, co-workers and acquaintences about PATH. The power companies have millions of dollars of our money to spend on misleading ad campaigns, but we have something they don't have -- people power right here in our own communities!

  • Share your ideas, talents and time! We welcome suggestions and extra hands for projects and fundraisers, please consider helping us as much (or as little) as you can manage.

  • Help us with our petition drive! We have collected thousands of petition signatures opposing PATH. Download a blank petition here and collect signatures. When complete, contact a member of StopPATH to have the petition picked up or drop in the mail to:
